The Last

 It’s Friday…

That mean’s I’m breathing a bit easier knowing the week is drawing to an end. This weekend I will be spending some quality time with my hubby, my oldest {Pumpkin} and my baby {Stinker/Scooter…depending on my mood}. While, my middle two monkey’s enjoy some grandparent time. This weekend is the little kid grandparent weekend; a zoo trip, swimming, and other memory making moments are in store for my sweet babes. I will be praying for fun and safety on all accounts; and praying for a memory filled weekend in your homes as well.

Today is also the day I link up with some super women and join in a community like no other; its Five Minute Friday.

Today is where the pen meets the paper and all you do is write. You write for five minutes on a given prompt. No worries about what people will think, no grammar fears, no extreme editing; it is a time to brush up on your skills and dig in a bit deeper.  It is a community like no other and we want you to join the party #FMFparty. Join me at the home Lisa-JoBaker has created for us kindred spirits.

Today’s prompt; Last

Is it time? I should know, right? This is my fourth.

The contractions come and seem consistent but who has time to watch a clock? There is shopping to be done for goodness sake {everyone goes to the fruit market in labor} and walks to be had. I have three other sweet babes counting on me; two giggling girls eager to ride their bikes and a tough, tumbling, toddler boy riding in his chariot.

Should I call the grandparents; and grab the hospital bags? No, I will press on…

Contractions grow closer and stronger…or are they? I sit and they stop {annoying} and stand and they are 2 minutes apart..what is this? This is not like the last..

Each time a bit different than the previous but the same miraculous event none the less.

I am is time. My heart divided as I walk away from my other three babes to welcome another. A bumpy, construction filled drive, a warm face looking so familiar as we enter the room. Surely, I know her…it is my team! Yes, I have a team that welcomed all of my sweet little ones. A team like no other; a husband so strong, a mid-wife so calming, a sister most just dream of , and a nurse {the familiar face} a gentle soul amidst the chaos.

Everything in place, a positive group B diagnosis demands a bag of antibiotics to be administered at full speed as time is of the essence; 8, 9, 10…

I’ve got this! Breathing, focused, and pressing on…it is time! Time to welcome the last…

Busy-bee 9 months

My lovable, totally squeezable, sweet baby boy is 9 months old. Busy-bee was truly the missing piece to our family. He completes us! He is an absolute joy and has a personality already much to be desired.
Growing up I always ‘dreamed’ of having 4 kids never really thinking for a second that it might actually happen. I now know my ‘dream’ of having 4 children was not something I simply thought up for myself but rather something God had planned long before my childbearing years. You know those dreams; the ones that sit etched in the back of our head just waiting for us to say “YES”. Yep, that is Busy-Bee!  He is everything and more than I could have ever dreamed of on my own. He is a true blessing from God himself and I am forever grateful my heart said “YES”.
Busy-bee loves his siblings. He amazes me daily with his ability to interact and ‘play’ along with them. Whether it is playing ‘kitchen’, Duplo-Legos, or just joining in the plain chaos of living in a big family you better believe he is in the middle of all the action. He also loves playing with his BFF homeschool friends. He doesn’t even entirely mind shopping quite yet.

He is my brown eyed and blond haired bouncing baby boy (not to be confused with his (almost 3yr old) green eyed/blond haired bundle of  sweet spunk brother.
He say’s; Momma (the first one of my kids to say Momma first…way to warm a mothers heart), Dadda, bababa clapping, he signs ‘eat’, craws everywhere, stands like a champ, and laughs with the sweetest of snorts. Weighing in at a whopping 18 lbs (10-15% tile) and just barely cut his first tooth on June 3rd, 2013.
His favorite foods are pears and spinach (really, spinach?) he must be my kid: a true health nut from the beginning!  Food is not his love language as he also appears to have some food sensitivities much like his older siblings. We trudge along none the less one ‘baby step’ at a time.

Baby #4…Weeks 14-30

So here I am just shy of 30 weeks along with baby #4. I feel great and certainly can’t complain. The first 14 weeks of this pregnancy I felt nauseous 24/7 (that was something new…I don’t care to do again). The only thing that kept the gagging at bay was chewing gum CONSTANTLY!! Not good for someone with TMJ issues I might add.

I have gained 15 lbs (exact same as I did with the other 3 at this time), I’m having crazy contractions (nothing terrible), walking like a crazy lady, chasing the kids, boating, and doing all the things I love to do!

My game plan wait for baby, enjoy the little kicks (O.K some are big), welcome our new little one sometime in August to our fun/loving family, and keep on trucking on this road of motherhood! One minor detail…have umbilical hernia surgery sometime next Feb/March 2013 thanks to my loving babies 🙂 should be a hoot with 4 kids under 7!! Dear, Lord! We will survive? Won’t we?
