Watch “US” Grow wk8/9, and the Big “2”

Can you say “WOW”? Life has been absolutely crazy…Mr.Smile’s is over 2 months old already :(, my baby girl Boo just turned “2” , and the little Pumpkin is almost 5!! Time is flying by!! We recently celebrated the girls 2nd and 5th Birthdays (Pumpkin a bit early)…and for a “BIG” surprise we rented a fire truck that serves frozen custard. Yes, a real truck!!! We had 17 kids under 5 at our house (we do not have a big house) sooooo a big “Thank You God” for making it a gorgeous and memorable event!!
Boo does not always do well with crowds and is very easily overwhelmed she spent most of the day in Mommy’s arms or near by.


Pumpkin on the other hand could not wipe the smile off her face!! Awww…to be “5” again..she was one happy little girl!! She got to spend the day with all her friend, have a real fire truck show up at her house, eat all the frozen custard she wanted, open presents (even though we said don’t bring any…no on listened!!), and just run around like a kid!! Mommy and Daddy couldn’t have wished for anything more for their sweet little girls (although we do wish Boo showed a little more enthusiasm). I’m sure she will when she turns “5” 🙂 If my memory serves me correctly on Pumpkins 2nd B-day she only opened 2 gifts and made it a week long event!!

Yes, there was even a Dalmatian!!
 
Now onto my little man :)!!! Sorry buddy but week 8 is a bit of a blur and few pictures were taken but I did manage to sneak a few in there!! Your hair is looking a bit red? hmmm…maybe more like Mommy’s?? Eyes are still blue…and eating like a champ!! In your spare time you like to read books (see below), ham it up for the camera, and giggle!! Yes, you giggle!!

The floor is one of Mr. Smiles favorite places to lay. Unfortuantely, this only happens on rare occasions (when big sister Boo is not around) she loves to squeeze and poke!! Not a good combo!!

Watch Me Grow 5/6 weeks

 6 Weeks already!! Good news…I also think I have finally settled on a ‘blogger name’ up until now I have been referring to the little guy as ‘peanut’ (which is sort of false advertising since I can pretty much guarantee he is pushing 12 lbs) but without further ado meet “Mr. Smiles”!! As his personality comes out more and more each day….this boy loves to smile 🙂

We have been busy taking big sister Pumpkin to swim lessons M-F for the past 2 weeks…quite the commitment I might add!! She did awesome and is now a level ‘2’!! She loves to practice in Nonna and Papa’s pool. Below Papa is teaching Pumpkin how to float…Mommy can’t even do that one 🙂 K.Bear and Mr. Smiles were very, very good through all the lessons. K.Bear ate snacks and enjoyed playing in the baby pool…while Mr. Smiles slept or just enjoyed the warm breeze off of the lake. The weather has been ridiculously hot these days 90’s with near 100% humidity, yuck!!!

I’m seeing blond? Blond hair that is if you look closely you can see a few wispy hairs on my bald baby’s head 🙂 My children rarely have hair before they are two!!

Mr. Smiles attended his first wedding for a 2nd cousin of his.

He was such a good boy….nursed..slept…smiled..nursed..slept….”Thanks for not getting us kicked out of there little guy”!! We were home by 10:30PM (real party animals I know..) he was all tuckered out at the end and slept until 3:00AM
5 weeks old…Mr. Smiles enjoyed his first over night stay on the boat!! He did quite well all things considered. There isn’t quite anything like a rocking boat and some fresh air to make a baby sleep!!

Those are some big blue eyes after a nice warm bath!! Mr. Smiles loves bath time …and mommy loves the smell of a nice clean baby 🙂

Watch Me Grow 4 wks

1 month old already!! I can’t believe it….time certainly does fly the older one gets!! As a child it seemed like a year could last forever now it seems as though one year quickly leads to the next….

We did it…finally took you on the boat that is!! What a trooper we went out 2 days in a row and even got stuck in a storm on the second day. You slept great, ate wonderfully, and just enjoyed the fresh air. A true water baby already!!

Catching some more zzzzz’s as the air off the lake blows threw the windows of the boat. O’how I love that little sweet heart mouth and those squeezable cheeks of yours!!

Finally, another picture with your eyes open 🙂 when you are awake you are eating and when your not eating you are sleeping. O’the life of a new born!!

The booster seat in our kitchen is one of the only “safe” places big sister Boo can’t get to you easily. Boo loves to squeeze and poke you….Mommy and Daddy must watch her every minute!!! Big sister Pumpkin is starting to get a bit more confident in holding you so Mommy has a feeling there will be some close eyes on her in the near future as well.


Enjoying a little bath time!! This was your first bath in the big tub…thus far we have bathed you in the sink!! However, your getting a bit long to fit in there these days and not to mention you are very slippery when wet!!


It has been a blast watching you this past month grow into a little person…you love to be held and cuddle lots (at times this makes it very difficult to get much of anything else done around the house). Mommy tries to enjoy these moments as I know they too will go by quickly. Boo’s new word is “fuss” if that says anything.. 🙂 You have turned over a number of times from your tummy to your back (mostly out of anger) but none the less it has been funny watching such a little baby roll….

Keep on rolling baby…because there are many, many more milestones to come!!
