Five Minute Friday; Imagine

What is this?

Five Minute Friday is where 100’s of us blogger types write for five minutes. All on the same prompt. No extreme editing. No worrying about perfect grammar, font, or punctuation. Unscripted. Unedited. Real.

Five Minute Friday

A wife, a mother, a teacher, a house keeper, a chef, a counselor, and the list of titles goes on for this busy mom.

Imagine the possibilities. Can it be that God wants me to do more? How is it possible? I’m spread so thin as it is. There’s diapers to do. Beds to make. Children to teach and train. A husband waiting so patiently all the while. Just sit, ponder, and imagine all of that then;
Yes…then.. I’m brought back to a dream.  One of ministry. One of fellowship. One of community. Is it really about me? Or HIM? Imagine God calling your name and pulling your hand like a father crossing a child across a street. It’s constant.. at times a voice so quite I can barely hear it; while, sometimes so loud it’s all I hear.
What does this all look like? How will I find balance. Imagine the fear. Anxiety. Imagine he is there through it all; the uncertainty, the hard work, all the while he is shining like a star on a clear summers night….waiting!  Imagine his smile just waiting for you to say ‘YES’!!!

Mystery trip

Growing up as kids my parents would frequently take us on what was known as a family “Mystery Trip” my sister and I did not know where we were going, who would be there, or what to expect along the way. Some trips were bigger than others but it was always a special surprise none the less. I have been thrilled to start this same tradition with our children.

One of our most recent “Mystery Trips” was a “trip downtown” (yes, that is a trip to my kids as it is not someplace we go often) to see Sesame Street live at The Fox Theater.  Friends of ours invited us to join them in their suite and enjoy a complimentary luncheon as well. It was a great time enjoyed by all!
 Some trips are “big” some are “small” but none are ever forgotten! A good “Mystery Trip” is one that is imprinted on our child’s soul for a lifetime. Making memories and sharing in the thing that matters most spending time together.

Here piggie piggie…

So as if our 4 beautiful children didn’t already make our house loud and exciting…(oh, and don’t forget the dog) ! Yes, we added two more members to our ever growing family.

Meet Snowbell and Peppermint! Our guinnie pigs. They are cuddly, cute, and tons of fun. I still can’t believe I agreed to more chaos but on the other hand a house without it would be very boring to this busy momma!
